At Dopamine Detox App, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Refund Policy outlines our refund and cancellation procedures for our subscription services.

We offer different subscription tiers with different refund eligibility. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

2. Subscription Tiers

We offer the following subscription options:

  • Free Tier: No payment required, no refunds applicable
  • Pro Monthly ($9.99/month): Billed monthly, auto-renews
  • Lifetime ($49.99 one-time): One-time payment, lifetime access

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Pro Monthly Subscription

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you're not satisfied with your Pro monthly subscription, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase.

Conditions:

  • Must be requested within 14 days of initial purchase
  • Only applies to first-time Pro subscribers
  • Refund only covers the current billing period, not previous months
  • After 14 days, no refunds for partial billing periods

3.2 Lifetime Subscription

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you're not satisfied with your Lifetime subscription, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase.

Conditions:

  • Must be requested within 30 days of purchase
  • Account must not have been used for fraudulent activity
  • After 30 days, all sales are final

3.3 Renewal Charges

Important:

Monthly subscription renewals are not eligible for refunds unless you cancel within 48 hours of the renewal charge. We send reminder emails before each renewal to give you the opportunity to cancel.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be issued in the following situations:

  • After the refund eligibility period has expired (14 days for Pro, 30 days for Lifetime)
  • For accounts that have been suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service
  • For accounts involved in fraudulent activity or abuse of the service
  • For partial billing periods after the initial refund period
  • For "change of mind" after the refund eligibility period
  • If you simply did not use the service (unused subscriptions are not eligible for refunds after the guarantee period)

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email us at support@dopaminedetoxapp.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Provide Information: Include your account email address, subscription type, and reason for the refund request
  3. Wait for Review: We will review your request within 2-3 business days
  4. Receive Decision: You will receive an email notification about the status of your refund
  5. Processing Time: If approved, refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days

What to Include in Your Request:

  • Your account email address
  • Subscription type (Pro Monthly or Lifetime)
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for refund request (optional but helpful)
  • Order confirmation number or transaction ID (if available)

6. Refund Processing

6.1 Processing Time

Once your refund is approved:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days to appear in your account
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Other Payment Methods: May vary depending on your payment provider

6.2 Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot issue refunds to different payment methods or accounts.

6.3 Account Access After Refund

Once a refund is processed:

  • Your subscription will be immediately downgraded to Free
  • You will lose access to Pro features (unlimited habits, extended analytics, export functionality)
  • Your data will be retained for 30 days in case you re-subscribe
  • After 30 days, data beyond Free tier limits may be archived

7. Cancellation Policy

7.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Your account settings page under "Subscription Management"
  • Contacting support at support@dopaminedetoxapp.com

7.2 What Happens After Cancellation

When you cancel a Pro monthly subscription:

  • You retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the next billing period
  • Your account automatically downgrades to Free after the billing period ends
  • No refunds are issued for the remaining time in your current billing period (unless within the 14-day guarantee)

7.3 Lifetime Subscriptions

Lifetime subscriptions cannot be cancelled as they are one-time purchases. However, you can request a refund within 30 days of purchase (see Section 3.2 above).

8. Chargebacks

Important Notice About Chargebacks:

If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company (initiate a chargeback) without first contacting us for a refund:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended
  • All data and access will be revoked
  • We reserve the right to ban you from future use of the service
  • Chargeback fees may be added to your account balance

Please contact us first at support@dopaminedetoxapp.com to resolve any billing issues before initiating a chargeback.

9. Special Circumstances

9.1 Technical Issues

If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the service, please contact support immediately. We will work to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, we may offer a refund or account credit at our discretion.

9.2 Duplicate Charges

If you believe you were charged twice for the same subscription, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and issue a refund for any confirmed duplicate charges within 5-7 business days.

9.3 Price Changes

If we increase our subscription prices, existing subscribers will be grandfathered in at their current rate for at least 60 days. You will receive advance notice of any price changes.

10. Promotional Offers and Discounts

Subscriptions purchased with promotional codes, discounts, or special offers are subject to the same refund policy. However:

  • Refunds will be issued for the amount actually paid, not the regular price
  • Promotional codes cannot be reused after a refund
  • Special lifetime offers may have different refund terms (will be clearly stated at time of purchase)
