Sources and assumptions
The evidence, in plain sight.
The gauge is an editorial estimate based on your logs. It does not measure dopamine, receptors, or your health. Studies support mechanisms; they do not validate our numerical coefficients.

Grades are computed from study design, measurements, and contradictory findings. An A does not mean the gauge is clinically validated.
A: 5 · B: 29 · C: 35 · 8 with mixed evidence

Each log contributes an editorial coefficient that decays over time. Only the last 72 hours count; repetitions are clamped to 1–5. The result is bounded to 0–100. The simulator repeats the calculation without selected habits.
The range is illustrative, not a statistical confidence interval. The model does not represent dose, withdrawal, chronic tolerance, or individual physiology. A healthy activity does not reverse biological harm because its points offset another habit.
Active parameters by habit
Read from the server's current configuration. Every value is an editorial assumption, not a measured biological constant.

What changed
September 7, 2026: structured references, grades that account for contradictions, public parameters, and explicit assumptions. The formula is unchanged. New studies require human review before acceptance; they never change scores automatically.
